The next E Board meeting will be held in North Hampton on January 12, 2010.

The 2009 banquet was discussed:

To date only 22 people have signed up to attend. The Board discussed the poor attendance for this year’s banquet. Attendance seems to be getting progressively worse each year in spite of efforts to restructure the event to accommodate previous suggestions from members.

Jess suggested approaching the membership to get input from the membership body about the possibility of having a "Policeman’s Ball" as the banquet as a way to generate more interest and participation. We already know the Conway Grand can work for this type of event given the example of the Shriner’s annual costume ball. We could swap out a DJ for the guest speaker. Opening the attendance to include officers and their wives may help to generate some additional funding for us as well to help defray the costs.

The fee structure was also discussed.

The banquet for 2010 will be put on the agenda for the General Business Meeting at the conference so we can decide what direction to take with the agenda for next year.

Only 1 formal nomination was submitted for the Community Spirit Award so the Board decided to accept that as the winner.

The attendance by-law will be discussed at the next General Business Meeting. We have quite a few members on the roster but only a handful of people are participating in the meetings and committees. The group needs more people to help if we are going to be successful in our mission statement.

Gylene made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Gale. The motion to adjourn carried.
